1 Use ‘Spellcheck’
no matter you write blog using text editor or word or FireFox, remember to use the spell check tools available
2 Print it out and read it from the paper
3 Read it out loud and carefully
4Touch the word or use a rule under every line while reading
5 Leave yourself enough time before proof reading
for example, you can write the post now and proof-read it tomorrow
6 Get others involved.
you can ask for help from others, such as your brothers, classmates, friends and so on. they will find many errors you did not pay attention to
7 Read it slowly or word by word
8 Read it backwards to focus on the spelling of words
9 Keep a list of your most common errors (or of the writers you are proofing) and proof for those on separate "trips."
10 Proofread the second half of the document first
11 Proofread for one type of error at a time
12 Proofread at the time of day when you are most alert to spotting errors
